Design Stages - Fully Custom Deck Build
Step 1
We first start your build with ideas and a few loose drawings. We work with you to find a rough shape and design of your deck in this stage.
Step 2
Next we create a few design layout options for you, these are entirely based off your ideas. With these plans we provide useful design advice with our experiences.
Step 3
We then use your decided plan to discuss materials. We provide all composite decking samples to you, or wood options of course. You decide what other options to include in your deck. These may be stair lights, custom-built railings, special framing requests, landscaping around deck, deck skirting, and any other ideas you have.
Build Stages - Fully Custom Deck Build
Step 1
Demo/layout: If necessary, we first start by demoing your current deck. Then the land is surveyed and marked for utilities. Any hardscaping that is needed will be done here.
Step 2
Foundation: All concrete piers are dug and poured. The number of concrete piers and depth of these piers greatly depend on the size and shape of your deck.
Step 3
Framing: This is arguably the most important part of your build. Framing of your deck will vastly differ with designs. We frame all of our decks with ground contact treated lumber. The success of our framing will prove the longevity of your deck.
Step 4
Decking: This is where it all comes together. Wether you chose a high to mid range composite, or a reliable wood decking. Theres a lot of options for composite decking, but don’t worry, we’re here to help you decide.
Step 5
Finish: After decking is installed we put up railings, stair lights, deck skirting, etc. A final clean up also occurs during this final stage.
